Eligibility
To participate on the Busy Bee Team a person must be at least 18 years old +
A person must also be identified by an agency or professional as having one of the following:

To enroll, complete an Athlete Enrollment/Medical Release Form and return it to [email protected]
Kaufman County Adult Teams, led by Head of Delegation (HOD) Shelley Brookins, offers opportunities for competition in the following sports:

- Intellectual Disabilities
- Closely related development disability, which means having functional limitations in both general learning and in adaptive skills such as recreation, work, independent living, self-direction, or self-care.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
