Kaufman County’s Bee-Happy Day Program journey started in 2019 when Shelley Brookins envisioned an affordable rehabilitation program for adults with developmental disabilities. Furthering their starting mission, Bee-Happy is preparing to launch a new program entitled Reimagine.
Reimagine is a ministry, support, and respite program for parents of special needs children serving Kaufman County, in partnership with Still Waters and Kaufman First Baptist Church. As a supportive outlet, As a supportive outlet, Reimagine offers parental and caregiver weekly support meetings during the school year. Through its respite care program, Reimagine provides short-term care and support services to assist families and caregivers with developmentally challenged adults and children. This allows parents and caregivers a small bit of free time for running errands, taking a much-needed nap, or making time for friends and family.
